WFNS Educational Course Neurosurgery Educational Seminar in the Caribbean Region was held on January 26th in Port of Spain. Ambassador Huang Xingyuan attended the opening ceremony and delivered his remarks.

Ambassador Huang stated that since the arrival of the first patch of the Chinese Medial Team last August, bilateral cooperation in the health sector has reached a new height. The CMT has fulfilled their duty by performing more than 300 operations, which was promised by President Xi during his Visit to Trinidad and Tobago and was spoken highly of by the Trinidadian people. Seminar of such scale and type was the first to be held in Trinidad and Tobago, and was a perfect interpretation of the CMT training Trinidadian doctors instead of simply doing their jobs for them.

Minister of Health Dr. Khan attended the opening ceremony as well. He again expressed his gratitude for the Chinese doctors’ selfless help and passionate devotion.

The WFNS seminar was jointly held by the WFNS Education Committee and the Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago, which aims to significantly improve the neurosurgery services in Trinidad and Tobago.
