Ambassador Huang Xingyuan Delivered Remarks at the Inauguration Reception of Chinese Government Training Program Alumni Association in Trinidad and Tobago – CAATT Was Established on December18th

For further strengthening communication between the Chinese Government and seminar participants from Trinidad and Tobago, better building up a network of human resources and a platform of Sino-TT economic and trade cooperation, Chinese Government Training Program Alumni Association in Trinidad and Tobago (hereinafter referred to as CAATT) was officially established on December 18th, and a reception was held at the Chinese Embassy for celebrating its establishment. Minister Bachan of Public Administration, Acting Permanent Secretary Ms. Seignoret of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director Mrs.Huggins of Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development were invited to the Reception and to give remarks. More than 50 CAATT members attended the Reception. First Secretary LIU Ying resided over the establishment ceremony.

   
On behalf of the Chinese Government, Ambassador Huang Xingyuan gave congratulation remarks. He stated that the foundation of CAATT signified the success of bilateral human resources exchange cooperation, reviewed the significance and contribution of training programmes to bilateral relations. He also expressed his wishes that training programmes and CAATT can become a friendly tie for both countries and people to know each other better and deeper.

Minister Bachan echoed Ambassador’s statement and fully endorsed the establishment of CAATT on behalf of Trinidadian Government. She stressed that currently the bilateral relations reach its highest peak and with CAATT, peoples from both countries could jointly construct closer partnership and widen future cooperation.

First Secretary Liu Ying announced that CAATT will become an engine for gathering Alumi members and that every member is welcomed to bridge economic and cultural exchange through their own passion and capacity.

Mayor Budhan and Mr. Hosein shared with the members their stories and experiences in China.
