Appointment Required for All Visa and Legalisation Applications
2020-09-24 04:27

In view of the current situation on COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago, and to reduce the risk of cross-infection and protect the health and safety of all applicants, starting from September 23, 2020, all visa and legalisation applications are accepted by appointment only.

I. Unless there is an urgent need for a visa or to legalize a document, it is recommended that the applications be submitted at a later date when the epidemic gets under effective control.

II. If applicants do need to apply for a visa or legalise a document, appointment must be made in advance by sending an email to chinaembtt@gmail.com. The email should contain the following information: the applicant’s name, type of application, reasons for application and contact information. Enquiries can be made by calling +1-868-6221832 during 8:30-11:30 and 14:00-16:00 on weekdays.

The consular office of the Embassy will process the appointment requests and send the applicant a confirmation email with information on the date and time of submitting applications. Upon receiving the email, the applicants should come to the Embassy in accordance with the date and time as specified in the email and submit the applications. The confirmation email should be printed out and presented before entering the consular office. Entry into the consular office will NOT be permitted if the confirmation email cannot be presented.

III. This application-by-appointment arrangement is temporary. Further notice will be made if there are any adjustments.

The Chinese Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago wishes everyone health and safety!
