On 27th April, Ambassador Huang Xingyuan delivered his remarks at the Handover Ceremony of Physical Education and Sporting Equipment to Trinidad and Tobago. Minister of Education Dr. Gopeesingh and Minister of Education Brent Sancho attended the ceremony. On behalf of respective Governments, Ambassador Huang and Minister Gopeesingh, signed on the handover certificate.
Ambassador Huang stated that the equipment were donated by the Chinese Government to cater to the physical education needs of the Trinidadian youth and people, which is a testimony of close relationship and mutual trust between the two Governments. The Chinese Government cherishes the friendship with Trinidad and Tobago and wishes to improve the living condition and economic development of Trinidad and Tobago with its own capabilities.
Dr. Gopeesingh expressed appreciation for the generosity and selflessness of the Chinese Government and for its commitment to the physical and mental health of Trinidadian youths. The Goods will be put into use as soon as possible.
