Ambassador Huang Xingyuan Met with Newsday's New Editor-in-Chief

H.E. Mr. Huang Xingyuan, Chinese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, met with Mr. Jones P Madeira, new editor-in-chief of Newsday at the Chinese Embassy on Mar. 25, 2014. They had a very friendly conversation together.

Ambassador Huang warmly welcomed Mr. Madeira and offered his congratulations to Mr. Madeira on his appointment as editor-in-chief of Newsday. Ambassador Huang believed that under Mr. Madeira's leadership, Newsday would become a more dynamic and successful publication, and with joint efforts, the traditional good relationship between two sides would be further strengthened.

Mr. Madeira thanked Ambassador Huang for taking the time to meet him. He stressed that Newsday always put social responsibility at its priority and reported everything as it was. He said China became an emerging big power with its rapid development in recent decades, Newsday would provide local people more information about the cooperation and exchange in every field between China and TT.

Mr. Li Xuda, first secretary of the Chinese Embassy, was present.
