To provide convenience and enhance security, starting from September 5, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago will NOT accept payment by cash for any consular services (passport, travel document, visa, notarization, legalization, etc). All fees must be paid via deposits into the bank account of the Embassy.
I. Procedures
1. When applicants apply for a consular service at the Embassy, a pickup form and a deposit slip (in triplicate) will be issued. (Attachment 1).
2. After receiving the notification to pick up the document, applicants go to a branch of First Caribbean International Bank (Attachment 2) and deposit payable fees into the designated account of the Embassy. The Bank keeps Page 1 of the deposit slips, the Embassy keeps the Pink copy (Page 2) and applicants keep the Yellow copy (Page 3).
3. Applicants come to the Embassy to collect the documents with the pickup form and the Pink copy (Page 2) of the deposit slips.
II. The amount of the consular fees are final once the pickup form and deposit slips are issued. It is advised that the applicants should choose either normal service or expedited service when applying.
